Join Us at CWA: Project Manager for Avonmouth Hub

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for construction and engineering? We at CWA (Civil Works Alliance) are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as the Project Manager for the Avonmouth Hub in Bristol. This pivotal role is an integral part of our mission to support the building of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.

At CWA, you will be at the forefront of delivering one of the UK's most ambitious energy projects. Sizewell C is not only crucial for our country's energy future, but it also sets the bar for innovative engineering and construction. As the Project Manager for the Avonmouth Hub, you'll ensure the successful delivery of construction works, oversee daily site operations, and build robust relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that everything aligns with our comprehensive Construction Execution Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) for the Avonmouth hub, ensuring alignment with our broader M+T Section Delivery Strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage daily operations to meet project milestones, deadlines, and budget requirements.
  • Secure necessary resources, manage risks, and resolve any issues swiftly to maintain project progress.
  • Foster effective communication with all stakeholders and build strong relationships with the M+T management team across London and the SZC site.
  • Inspire and motivate your team, creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, and continuously seek ways to improve processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in managing project packages in complex and dynamic environments, preferably within the Nuclear Energy sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record in engineering design, contract management, and construction execution.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and project management methodologies such as APM and Prince 2.

Why Join Us?

At CWA, we believe in the power of diverse perspectives and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We value humility, positivity, respect, solidarity, and clarity in all our interactions and work.

If you are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you. Take the next step in your career and help us build a sustainable future for generations to come.
