One of the cornerstones of Workforce Skills is our Vocational Qualifications (VQ) business. Every year, we deliver nearly 1 million qualification outcomes to BTEC students and Apprentices, spanning all sectors, ages and education settings. Role overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to oversee business transformation and operational improvement initiatives in a complex environment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing complex projects, driving business change, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

As a relatively new team and capability, this position also offers the successful candidate an opportunity to play a major role in helping shape the project management and delivery function of the future.

- Project Management:
- An Outcome-focused mindset with excellent organizational skills.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
- Proactive approach to monitoring and controlling project activities, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery
- Ability to apply Agile principles and frameworks to optimize project performance
- General understanding of business case development, tracking and measuring of benefits
- Business Change & Adoption
- Ability to develop and execute change management plans ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business cases
- Analyse business processes, identify improvement areas, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication and regular updates.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all level
- Business Change Management:
- Design and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes or systems.
- Collaborate with teams to embed change and achieve business outcomes.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present project updates, performance reports, and lessons learned to leadership teams
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with organisational policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2-3 years proven and demonstrated experience in managing complex projects
- 1-3 years of business change management experience
- Agile qualification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist)
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent)
