Purpose of the Role
Join the IT Team as a Project Manager, responsible for leading and managing multiple low to mid complexity projects in parallel, working with a range of customers and resources.
Reporting into the Tribe Lead, the role holder will manage, plan, coordinate and steer end to end projects, in line with Bentleys delivery frameworks and processes, ensuring that project cost and investments are efficient and are aligned with the company's strategy and the projects supporting benefits case.
You will lead by example, creating and maintaining strong customer relationships with project teams and sponsors, making sure the needs of business operations are in place from project launch.
- Manage, plan, coordinate and steer end to end projects, in line with Bentleys delivery frameworks and processes
- Prepare and present resource estimates along with all other investment requirements
- Create related budget spend forecasts
- Ensuring business cases are valid and approved prior to project commencement
- Identify internal and external project dependencies and prepare inclusive work breakdown structure and stories
- Determine project methodology to apply in accordance with the established Bentleys project management framework
- Lead active risk and issue management, ensuring that risks and issues are owned, actioned and escalated
- Build relationships and influence project stakeholders and project team members
About the Team
Tribe is part of the wider IT Delivery function, sitting within the IT Team at Bentley. The IT Delivery function are responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of IT change to enable our stakeholders to meet their strategic goals as part of the Beyond 100 + Strategy. Tribe is an integral part of this delivery capability through our Value Streams, as well as operating as a community of practice focused on continuous improvement to our Project Management processes and capabilities.
About you - Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of intermediate IT project management skills applied in a work environment
- Knowledge of programme management principles
- Extensive experience of working within a structured project environment, over the full lifecycle
- Evidence of successful delivery of strategic projects with targets and experience of working to time, cost and quality objectives
- Ability to build relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workloads, across multiple projects with a range of stakeholders
- Problem solving skills and an ability to understand, interpret complex business issues and processes
- Core project management skills, techniques and methods, including WBS, CPM, SWOT analysis and Risk and issue management
- Experience of Agile methods and agile tools (Jira / Confluence)
- Experience of Waterfall project delivery methodologies
