Description

One World are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to develop and implement projects both internally within the business and externally with our customers, partners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and document the Project Initiation Documentation (PID), including the project plan, business case, and approach.
  • Establish project baselines for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and benefits.
  • Work with project owners to understand the project overview, dependencies, milestones, risks etc.
  • Create stage plans and work packages for each project phase.
  • Ensures the appropriate skills and team members are allocated to the project and establishes clear roles, responsibilities and accountability.
  • Keep project logs and registers (issues, risks, lessons learned, daily log) updated.
  • Prepare and present highlight reports to the Project Board.
  • Identify and escalate issues, risks, or changes needing approval.
  • Deliver required products within agreed tolerances.
  • Establish and manage project controls and procedures.
  • Maintain quality assurance and control to meet stakeholder expectations to ensure products are fit for purpose.
  • Ensure transparent and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Inform the Project Board of any plan deviations.
  • Represent the project's interests to the Project Board.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

  • Certification and proven expertise in PRINCE 2 project management.
  • Experience managing projects internally and externally, across multiple stakeholder types.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder relationship management, requirements definition, and management.
  • Must be a people person.
  • Effective and proactive communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
  • Adaptability to changing market trends, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, valuing collaboration and input from others.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in strategic thinking with a focus on long-term impact and project prioritisation.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality project outcomes that meet both customer needs and sustainability standards.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Demonstrates passion for continuous improvement and innovation in project management practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective in communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders, including team members, partners, and customers. You ensure that all parties are aligned and engaged throughout project lifecycle
  • Works well in a team environment, valuing the input and expertise of others. You understand that collaboration is key to innovation and success in delivering value to stakeholders.
