If you would like to work for an established and expanding business who high standards and quality of work have seen them recognised as a contractor of choice, this is the Project Management role for you.

Your skills in a fast paced, short turnaround environment across retail, events, leisure, hospitality, office and more will be needed as will your initiative, attention to detail and your own very high standards in delivering projects on time with a value ranging from £300k to over £2ml.

Job role / duties

• Create initial BOM for each project and update as needed
• Liaise with the purchasing department to order materials and identify any long lead items
• Arrange for material / finish samples to be presented to the client
• Coordinate & attend regular progress meetings with the client and produce update reports for the Contracts Manager and advise on any delays or variation on quotes
• Liaise with colleagues on joinery manufacturing progress and any FF&E required
• Request and submit all certification, O&M information in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Principal Designer on CDM matters and Building Control
• Obtain final Building Control certificate sign off
• Take the lead and overall responsibility to ensure projects adhere to internal health and safety policies and CDM 2015.
• Take appropriate action to deal with asbestos reports as necessary
• Oversee the management of sub-contractors' performance, programme adherence, quality and value with the Contracts Manager and address any performance that falls below expectation
• Manage and control costs on all projects, business expenditure and impact on the business
• Work alongside Operations Manager/ Contracts Manager to maximize profit, whilst maintaining value for money
• Ensure accurate and timely billing is undertaken at the agreed project timelines
• Liaise closely with Project Controller to issue interim valuations & final accounts in line with agreed dates
• Report client satisfaction levels after each new project
• Ensure prompt appropriate action is taken to provide an effective response to any customer issues
• Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safeguarding and safety of all staff, visitors and contractors.
