Senior Consultant (Architecture and Engineering)

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

This role will see you working across both commercial and delivery activities. You'll be shaping solutions, guiding clients, and helping us grow Perform Partners through great work and strong relationships. Using your expertise to help clients reach their goals.

This role suits someone who's confident working under their own steam, but who knows when to bring others in and collaborate.

SFIA Level 5 - Ensure and Advise
This is a SFIA responsibility Level 5 role. You'll be expected to work under broad direction, take ownership of your work, and provide expert guidance in your field. You'll be trusted to deliver outcomes and support others in doing the same.

What You'll Be Doing
• Working closely with potential clients to understand their needs and shape effective solutions.
• Supporting commercial efforts, including scoping work and shaping pricing.
• Bringing your technical expertise to guide both clients and colleagues.
• Leading on delivery for client engagements - offering advice, designing solutions, and getting stuck into execution.

What We're Looking For
Someone with strong DevOps experience who's transitioned into architecture, wants to continue developing in that direction, and is still happy to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on with DevOps when needed.
• Strong understanding of engineering practices - you know what good looks like and how to deliver it.
• Ability to lead a DevOps from a start-up position.
• At least 2-years' experience in an architecture role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS - ideally hands-on.
• Good working knowledge of other Public and Private Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, VMware, Nutanix etc).
• Ideally be an AWS Certified Solutions Architect at either Associate or Professional level.
• Some experience of working on pricing, scoping and commercial models.
• Previous consultancy experience is helpful, but not essential.

What You'll Get
• The chance to work on varied, interesting projects.
• A flexible, supportive working environment in a recognised Sunday Times Best Places to Work organisation.
• A choice of where you work from based on our hybrid model that involves coming together to collaborate rather than a set number of days a week in our offices. (Note: this could change based on client expectations).
• Opportunities to shape and grow your role as the business grows.
• A team that values honesty, passion and partnership whilst working in your own way.
• A salary range of £55k - £70k with a competitive benefits package (see https://perform-partners.com/careers/benefits/ for more details).

What the Recruitment Process Involves
• CV review.
• First stage is a 30 mins Teams call with Head of Consultancy and a Principal Consultant.
• Second stage is a face to face interview in Horsforth that requires preparation of a 100 day plan and completion of a task that will be provided on the day.
• A final interview maybe required if there are multiple suitable candidates.
