Project Manager (IT)

Contract (Day rate Inside IR35 via umbrella)

Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager (PM) to join my clients diverse team in Scotland. The Successful candidate will play a pivotal role working on a variety of different complex IT projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of delivering complex projects, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes as well as experience of managing project budgets.
  • Ability to work in an environment undergoing change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.
  • Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio.
  • Knowledge of Development Processes, including but no limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development.
  • Experience of delivering complex operational technology (OT) projects, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of OT and cyber security risks. (Desirable)

What will you be doing?

  • Managing product development projects from initial inception through to operational deployment in line with business strategy and requirements.
  • Ensuring that projects are managed within scope and budget against realistic time targets that are defined and agreed.
  • Managing multiple delivery teams and third parties across end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure that resultant systems/services deliver the specific outcomes and to ensure that interfaces work correctly.
  • Ensuring successful transition to service, meaning that change lands well and meets business needs.
  • Regularly report on the progress and challenges for each project being worked on and track the delivery into BAU.
  • Understand and demonstrate financial management acumen and managing project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets and forecasting.
  • Ideally skilled in several project management/ change management approaches in particular Waterfall or Agile delivery, as well as Prince2, APM and PMP.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
