Seize this opportunity to become part of Hitachi Energy's prestigious Project Management team in the UK & Ireland. As a Project Manager, you'll liaise extensively with both internal and external stake holders, at multiple locations and manage a range high voltage client projects.

Operating at the sharp end of the customer experience, you will drive results and tangible outcomes as you implement and execute projects from initial set - up through to final completion. Ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, budgetary controls, and financial targets.

The Role:

  • Managing customer projects varying in complexity and up to the value of £15 million
  • Commercial responsibility for the project budget and spend: Procurement of services, materials, equipment from internal and external suppliers
  • Making key decisions acting as main point of contact with the customer. Working in close collaboration with stakeholders to gain joint approval
  • Planning and scheduling projects from start to completion
  • Following best practice according to policy and contractual agreements
  • Mitigating risks and acting as escalation point for project issues
  • Flexible approach, actively participating in driving the project plan forward and generating outcomes
  • Analysis of data, creating and sharing accurate project plans with regular updates

Your background:

  • Engineering related degree (electrical desirable but not essential)
  • Comprehension of English language both spoken and in writing. Both fluent and accurate - able to negotiate at all levels internally and externally
  • Flexible to travel (UK wide) to visit customer sites
  • Awareness and use of Microsoft Project
  • High attention to detail
  • Team player, who holds themselves accountable being ready willing to collaborate with others committed to achieve the end goal.
  • Financially literate - able to read financial statements and negotiate costs
  • Systematic, proactive approach and efficient time management
