Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Central Integrated Health Community (IHC) within its newly established Improvement Project Team for two experienced Project Managers to work alongside the Central IHC Management Team on our Planned Care and Urgent and Emergency Care Improvement Programmes. Initially based within Glan Clwyd Hospital the post holders will report to the Programme Manager for Improvement.

Main duties of the job

You will have an understanding of working with corporate functions and have a drive and tenacity to initiate and deliver on projects and high profile initiatives. Experience of managing complex projects reflective of local and National strategic priorities, focused on innovative pathways and new ways of working which span across BCUHB health divisions as well as other organisational boundaries is essential.

This role will demand excellent people skills, an innovative mind, a can-do attitude and a strong will to work as part of a team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or knowledge
Essential criteria

  • Educated to Post Graduate diploma level / equivalent level of work experience and knowledge
  • ILM Management level 4, or equivalent qualification/ level of work experience and knowledge. Willingness to complete within 2 years if not held.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Desirable criteria

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, similar qualification or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge

Experience
Essential criteria

  • Significant experience of working in an NHS/social care or voluntary sector setting
  • Experience of managing successful change across professional boundaries
  • Participation in significant change management projects and process re- engineering
  • Experience of monitoring budget control, contract negotiation, procurement and financial procedures
  • Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing and developing teams.
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Problem identification and solving

Desirable criteria

  • Proven ability to successfully manage complex/ significant projects
  • Experience of working within a project structure, and managing complex change within.
  • Experience of Systems Thinking methodologies
  • Experience of Lean methodologies
