EKC Group is seeking to appoint a Projects and Estates Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties outside of our six college estate. These include the prestigious 4* Yarrow Hotel, three nurturing nurseries, and various EKC Training sites such as the Hersden and Ashford training centres, along with our extensive network of adult employability service centres.

You will also provide Project Management services on our capital programmes supporting the wider EKC Group estate. You will improve and adapt to the changing needs of education and training across East Kent. Current projects include a £4.6m refurbishment and enhancement programme across all six colleges.

About You

We are seeking to appoint a Projects and Estates Manager to join EKC Group's Estates department. We are committed to excellence in estate management, so previous experience in this field is vital.

You will be able to work towards deadlines within budget constraints. You will also have proven experience in M&E or construction design, as well as appropriate experience of participating in projects from start to finish, whilst realising key objectives, evaluating outcomes and finding solutions.

You will be able to communicate effectively and lead by example, as well as forging strong productive partnerships with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensurestatutory compliance is maintained across all buildings.
  • Oversee and update Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) records.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure high standards of estate management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to uphold safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estate and project management.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites efficiently.
  • Level 3 Qualification in either M&E or Construction.
