- Collaborate with stakeholders including designers, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory teams
- Monitor ground behaviour and excavation progress; report risks and propose mitigations
- Provide input into construction planning, reporting, and lessons learned documentation
Competencies & Experience Required:
- Degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- Proven experience in SCL tunnelling, shaft sinking, and adit excavation
- Strong working knowledge of sprayed concrete methods and specifications (e.g., EN 14487, EFNARC)
- Experience working on complex infrastructure or regulated environments such as nuclear or transport
- Understanding of waterproofing, ground treatment, and temporary works design
- Familiarity with TBMs and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and technical reporting skills
- Certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, or nuclear safety passport are advantageous
