What you'll be doing

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team, playing a pivotal role in the financial management and commercial success of our projects. This position offers a broad scope of responsibilities, including contract negotiations, financial reporting, procurement, risk management, and managing the supply chain.

You will be an integral part of the project delivery team, ensuring the financial and commercial aspects of each project are efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial and financial success of projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
  • Manage and report on commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial and contractual representation in client meetings.
  • Prepare estimates, tender submissions, and cost reconciliations.
  • Support commercial administration, including Earned Value Management and Cost & Value Reconciliation (CVR).
  • Develop and mentor a team of commercial staff, supporting their professional qualifications.
  • Ensure compliance with governance requirements and leverage digital tools for efficiency.

Who we're looking for

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or actively working towards it).
  • CSCS Card (Professionally Qualified Person).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage financial and contractual aspects of projects.
  • Experience in risk management, procurement, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and contract preambles.
