Job Description
Programme Manager - Property PMO
Contract: 12 Month FTC
Nottingham, Support Office
Closing date: 30th January 2026
Recruitment Partner: Olivia Wilson
What you'll be doing
Our Property Programme Management team is all about planning, coordinating and keeping control of the major investment programmes across Boots UK and ROI. We support the capital plan, work closely with delivery teams, and make sure there's clear visibility of progress across every project in the portfolio.
We now have an exciting fixed‑term opportunity to help deliver some major changes that support our Property Strategy. Reporting to the PMO Manager and working closely with PMO colleagues, you'll play a key role in the store interventions programme. It's a large, fast‑moving and complex programme, so you'll get plenty of scope to sharpen your programme management skills while working with teams across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Using planning tools and techniques to help shape the programme so it lands well and supports strategic goals
- Helping the programme office maintain strong governance and follow best practice
- Setting up and maintaining programme documentation using our hosted document collaboration database and your Excel skills (including use of macros)
- Tracking and reporting progress, keeping RAID, Change and Action logs up to date and escalating issues when needed
- Managing change control, version control and digital document organisation
- Acting as the "eyes and ears" of the programme team, providing assurance for senior stakeholders
- Encouraging collaboration across all teams involved in delivery
- Influencing and guiding others to achieve shared objectives
- Managing your own workload and delivering at pace but also very much part of a team with shared responsibilities and common goals
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
- Experience in programme or project management and a desire to grow into a professional programme manager
- Hands‑on experience working on or managing programmes or projects
- Clear, confident communication and the ability to set expectations across cross‑functional teams
- A diligent, organised approach and familiarity with programme management tools and disciplines
- Solid IT skills, especially in SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word (use of formulas to manage data in spreadsheets essential and an understanding of macros advantageous). Awareness of Power BI would also be an advantage but not essential
- Programme management qualifications (APM or MSP) helpful but not essential

- Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child
