Making A Difference as a Programme Manager in Policy and Transformation

Are you a Programme Manager looking for a role where you can showcase your ability while significantly contributing to Public Sector service delivery? Are you passionate about helping organisations transform and improve? Do you thrive on putting the customer first?

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join St Helens as a Programme Manager in our Corporate Programme Management Office (PMO), managing one or more programme in our Strategic Transformation Portfolio. While the role is for an initial fixed term, we would hope that the successful candidate would be open to longer term programme management opportunities at St Helens Council should they become available.

About You

Ideally you will have a public sector background. You will have proven experience at running complex and large-scale programmes across a large organisation. You will be very driven, with a passion to achieve strategic improvements over the longer term coupled with an acute focus on day-to-day tasks to ensure strong programme delivery.

You will need:

• Proven success in programme management, ideally with a transformation context.
• Experience of achieving results across a cross-functional organisation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation.
• An ability to lead work via a matrix team.
• A genuine desire to understand and fulfil customer requirements.
• Team spirit, tenacity, and a focus on delivery.
