At LTE Group we have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join us, on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.
As Programme Manager, you will be ensuring a 'best in industry' service that is delivered to both internal and external clients. This is a national role for all IT programmes both to internal and external clients and will involve the securing and management of significant £1M+ budget streams as well as winning large-scale contracts from external clients.

What the Programme Manager role entails:
- Working with Directors, Senior Managers and external suppliers, develop the programme of I.T.
- projects to be undertaken in support of the IS Strategy and in alignment with the 5 year business planning cycle.
- Define, implement and control a robust, industry standard programme management function and
- introduce and manage enhanced programme/project planning and execution methodology.
- Take part in and run IT related pre-sales activity with external clients alongside Architecture and bid functions to secure large-scale contracts.
- Monitor and control the programme of I.T. projects to identify and manage dependencies between I.T. projects.
- Monitor and control the spend profile of the programme of I.T. projects to ensure that financial targets are met.
- Produce clear and meaningful financial and progress reports to demonstrate compliance with
- business and regulatory demands.
- Ensure Projects adhere to company policies and procedures in respect of the specification, selection and procurement of hardware, software and resources.
- Develop, record and manage risk profiles for all I.T. programmes/projects.
- Ensure project documentation is produced on time and maintained (includes appropriate approvals, documentation, budgetary reports and project programmes).
- Ensure Operational and Service Level Agreements are produced and agreed with the business and service providers in advance of new systems becoming operational.
- Ensure all documentation required to support and operate new systems is delivered to the business and service providers at appropriate stages in the project lifecycle..
- To understand and participate in the production of the Business Continuity Functional Plan.
- Instigate and chair Programme/Project Steering Groups to ensure that the project sponsor and other stakeholders are properly engaged and informed.
- Attend and proactively support I.T. Strategy Group meetings.
- Provide focal point for the overall direction and delivery of the I.T. project programme.
The skills and experience required for the role of Programme Manager include:
- Degree or equivalent in a formal management qualification.
- Formal qualification in Prince2, Agile or equivalent.
- 5-year experience managing large and complex IT programme
- 10 years' experience in a senior project management role within an I.T. environment.
- Experience of implementing ITIL processes and procedures across a large enterprise
