BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Programme Manager on a 2-year FTC contract. This position will involve a mixture of working from home and any of our UK&I offices. BAM operates a flexible working policy.

Your mission

Holds responsibility for the overall programme plans, tracking of programme status, and the provision of this information to the programme management team. Defines and manages the governance and PMO operating model, scope control & internal programme portfolio management, defines reporting standards, manages project and programme progress reporting, risk & issue management, workshop facilitation, and external governance. Manages the internal and external dependencies across the programme including the critical path dependency plan with the Legal Entity Simplification initiative.

• Creating a method for monitoring the progress of the programme and improving efficiency
• Developing strong relationships with team members, vendors and partners
• Managing resources and ensuring timely delivery of programme
• Supervising and coordinating activities of the parties involved in the programme
• Preparing reports and updating Directors and other stakeholders about the programme
• Resolving issues with management and stakeholders
• Confirming successful delivery at the completion

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overall governance and methodologies for the programme across all releases.
• Manages and maintains the overall release plan and ensures that Release Managers and System Integrators adhere to the agreed planning principles and timelines.
• Ensures that reporting standards are adhered to as well as the timely production of consolidated programme level reporting.
• Manages the programme risk & issue process ensuring that risk & issue maintenance standards are adhered to, acts as 1st escalation at programme level.
• Maintains the programme scope and internal programme portfolio management process to ensure release plan integrity maintained.
• Responsible for compiling draft monthly Steering Committee, Operating Committee, and ad-hoc C-Suite leadership packs
• Accountable for running the internal programme checkpoint and stage gate governance processes, highlighting areas of potential risk to the overall plan achievability, to time, cost and quality.
• Works closely with the Release Managers and System Integrators to ensure adherence to programme governance and methodology.
• Works closely with the Group IT PMO and EPMO to ensure cross-programme dependencies are tracked and managed.
• Manages the dependencies between Legal Entity Simplification initiative and programme
• Analysis of the plans for timeliness of activities, utilisation of resources, slippage against baseline and management of internal & external dependencies and for the creation of appropriate reporting to the plan owners recommending corrective action where necessary.
• Representing the Planning function and assisting release managers and workstream leads with planning queries within their responsible area and providing advice and guidance on technical planning matters.
• Interfacing & reporting externally to the required stakeholders and internally on the Programme on a regular and timely basis.
• Identifying, defining and implementing planning based improvements in the planning process and interfaces.
• Tracking of business resource requirements and ensuring the resource plan (supply) and availability trackers are up to date and accurate.
• Seeks to mitigate and/or escalate programme risks & issues to protect the plan

Who are we looking for?

  • Ability to operate and move between strategic and operational level thinking.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience with large-scale business transformation programmes enabled by SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Expert in developing scalable governance & methodologies building on industry best practices
  • Design and implementation of planning and reporting processes.
  • Advance project planning, controlling and management skills (expert level) including MS project planning toolsets
  • Facilitating the development of workstream plans and integrated into an overarching Programme plan.
  • Experience of delivering planning on multi country - multi process Business, IT and SAP & S/4 HANA.
  • Transformation programmes for Multi Country organisations.
