What we're looking for

The Programme Manager will be responsible for the delivery of charitable activities such as the World Risk Poll grants programme, including managing the calls and assessments of proposals. Reporting to the Director of Skills and Education, the Programme Manager will need to support the interaction with stakeholders and predominantly manage the funding of new activities. They will work across all internal directorates such as the Grants, Communications, Heritage and Evidence and Insight teams.

The role

  • Programme and project delivery across all areas of the Foundation's work as required, and including projects relating to the LRF World Risk Poll.
  • Work both internally and externally to lead the grants and charitable activities that will achieve impact in the areas of the Foundation's mission.
  • Lead the grant funding activities associated with the Foundation's World Risk Poll.
  • Work with partners in our & others networks to support the application of the Foundation's new strategy.
  • Lead the development of proposals with support from the Foundation Directors and senior staff as and when required.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end process of grant making, from idea to grant closure and impact.
  • Work across the Foundation's teams to deliver expertise and knowledge on funding programmes.
  • Conduct activities in line with good governance and internal procedures.
  • Represent the Foundation externally including presenting the Foundation's purpose, strategy, activities and impact.
  • Conduct activities in line with good governance and internal procedures, including where relevant, the management of people and budgets.

What you bring

  • Relevant experience & understanding of grant funding ideally within a charity
  • Experience of grant and/or project/programme management preferably within a research or charity environment
  • Strong analytical skills, be highly organised, good attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrable experience of adhering to principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management and administration of programmes and project lifecycles
  • Able to demonstrate experience of &/or training in project, programme or portfolio management
  • Experience of working across international partnerships (desirable)
