Programme Manager

As a programme manager, you will be responsible for managing one or more complex programmes of work designed to deliver substantive change and business benefit across the JD Group in an exciting, fast-paced, global, multi-fascia environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Programme Directors, Project Managers, Business Analysts, operational teams, technology teams and suppliers to help the business implement our strategy and further enhance our market-leading customer offering.

• Location - BL9 8RR

• Working rota - Monday-Friday

• Working hours - 40 hours

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Programme Manager you'll be doing the following:

  • Lead your programme(s) of work to desired outcomes, working alongside senior stakeholders across the JD Group to design and deliver transformational change activity
  • Manage teams of Project Managers and Business Analysts on a matrix basis and ensure your programme(s) are adequately resourced to deliver on time and to the appropriate level of quality
  • Responsible for ensuring that project proposals, project initiation documents, business cases and change requests are created at an appropriate level of quality and project scope aligns to the overall aims of the programme
  • Manage any change requests timely, manage and resolve programme level risks and issues and and maintain programme plans
  • Understand and manage the dependencies within your programme(s) and between programmes within the wider portfolio, liaising with other programme and project managers as appropriate to ensure successful and timely delivery of the portfolio.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive programme and project management experience in large, complex business(es)
  • Previous experience in an omnichannel retail environment is highly advantageous
  • Experience in a matrix environment with dynamic resource allocation
  • Comfortable in environments where priorities can change rapidly and the need for flexibility and ability to re-focus is important
  • Professional certification in Project Management
