The team

We are recruiting for a Programme Director to join our Transformation Management Office; this is a small, high-performing team with responsibility for delivering strategic programmes across ITV. We work with teams from all across ITV, driving the delivery of programmes that are fundamental to enabling us to compete in a highly challenging competitive environment.

One of these critical programmes focuses on delivering a set of initiatives to drive simplification and support a reduction in cost. This role will be responsible for managing a significant degree of complexity and range of stakeholders to drive delivery of outcomes across the business.

The role will be a part of the Transformation Management Office, which reports directly to the Group CFO/COO. This will provide opportunities to become involved in wider strategically- critical transformation initiatives as part of a growing and highly effective team driving change across ITV.

The role

• Act as senior delivery authority for the Business Simplification Programme (BSP)

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team across all stages of the programme
• Represent the programme alongside the Director of the Transformation Management Office at Boards, including escalating strategic risks and issues, and ensuring critical decisions are made by the right stakeholders at the right time
• Work with a wide range of senior leaders and colleagues to ensure clear ownership of projects
• Responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of the individual workstreams, bringing rigour and a best practice approach throughout
• Establish and oversee robust programme management governance and controls
• Work with other Transformation Programme Directors and the TMO team to ensure that cross-programme dependencies are managed and understood
• Support other TMO activities, for example, defining the Transformation Roadmap, operating model changes and alignment of transformation with ITV's wider strategy

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

• Director-level experience of leading the delivery of complex programmes
• Taking accountability for the operational performance of the programme, and working closely with colleagues in Finance to track delivery against financial targets
• Ownership of programme delivery to successfully deliver business outcomes and strategic benefits
• Ability to work independently, with little direction, and to tight and evolving deadlines
• Credibility and gravitas when navigating Board level relationships
• Management of complex stakeholder relationships, including C-suite

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

• Demonstrable experience in leading the development and execution of large complex, transformation programmes
• Maturity of skills and breadth of experience in programme management principles, methodologies and tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, Google Suite)
• Excellent stakeholder management and conflict management skills
• The ability to navigate relationships at senior management level
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate workshops, present to and engage teams
• Experience in creating high quality deliverables with excellent attention to detail, experience with Google suite preferable
• Experience of designing and implementing change management interventions
• Experience in legal transformation and/or the media industry is highly beneficial
• Experience as a Management Consultant preferable
