Your Role: The Program Manager will oversee the management and execution of complex strategic global projects within the Cell Culture Media (CCM) Value Chain, requiring the delivery of integrated and complex solutions associated with manufacturing sites and business units. Collaborating with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and process owners, you will define project scope and deliverables, develop and implement project plans, and manage risks. You will lead cross-functional teams to apply process, project, or change management expertise, utilizing relevant tools and methods to achieve project milestones and desired business outcomes aligned with Value Chain initiatives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the organization. This role requires an individual contributor who works collaboratively in a global environment to identify growth drivers and challenges while ensuring business impact.

Key Accountabilities:

Align and represent the customer and business needs in the Operational Excellence strategy execution projects by ensuring achievement of the desired outcomes of specific improvement projects

Partner with peers in the UPM Strategy & execution team (e.g., strategy integration) and the other franchises to ensure holistic solutioning & execution

Effectively collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to clearly scope and define projects requirements ensuring business value/goals are known and quantified, if possible, prior to project go live.

Manage programs and projects from conception to launch/closeout and manage cross functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met.

Provide support on project scope definition, risk management, and escalations for project managers/workstream leads as per request

Communicate project activities with the project team and stakeholders to ensure awareness of project priority, timelines, status.

Coordinate interdependencies amongst multiple projects and workload autonomously, and seek support proactively/escalate as needed

Execute business and operational strategies globally.

Create harmonized processes across the CCM sites. Drive Harmonized processes to execution. Support continued business growth and customer satisfaction.

Maintain record of project requirements and document appropriately throughout project life within common location

Extensive project scoping including team structure and stakeholders

Ensuring global best practice is deployed to ensure systems, tools, processes are harmonized, and divergence is conscious.

Define and facilitate communication plan with stakeholder(s) including Senior Leadership.

Develop, track, and monitor progress of all project deliverables, including completion status, resource demand, and monitoring KPIs/metrics to realize business case.

Identify the project risks and issues and proactively escalate to appropriate level of management with impact to timelines monitored and proactively mitigate impact.

Provide on the job training, and support on project risks, issues, and escalations for junior project managers as required.

Role model continuous improvement culture by seeking and leading improvement of core processes and tools

Maintain strong relationships with all Cell Culture Organization globally including global mfg manufacturing sites

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support global time zones

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Employee must have a minimum BA/BS in Chemistry, Biological sciences, Engineering or related field, or 10+ years project and program management experience involving successful management of complex global projects, resources, timelines, budgets and coordinating between functional groups
• 5+ years project management experience involving successful management of projects, resources, timelines, budgets and coordinating between functional groups
• Proven experience in strategic planning and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or Business discipline
• Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) desirable but not required
• Advanced Project Management Degree / Certification is highly desirable (PMP,PPM,MPM)
• 3+ years industrial experience in custom pharmaceutical, biotech, or fine chemical industry.
• Understanding of bio pharmaceutical applications and customer processes
• Independence, assertiveness, and ability to make decisions quickly and confidently, with skills for people interaction and cross functional teamwork across departments and locations worldwide.
