Job Description

As a Program Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing organizational changes and projects focused on the management of a portfolio of building equipment. You will lead initiatives aimed at improving business processes, implementing new strategies, and driving significant change within the organization. Self motivation, and organizational skills will be key to your success. Problem solvers will find this work rewarding. A knowledge of building systems would be required.

Overview:

As a key leader supporting Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), this role requires a strong foundation in building science and the use of advanced analytics techniques. The program manager will ensure that projects emerging from asset planning are well understood, optimized, and executed in alignment with client objectives. They will support the team in leveraging data-driven insights and technical knowledge to develop cost-effective solutions and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align Programs with Client Goals: Ensure capital planning and building programs enhance long-term impact and meet measurable client objectives.
  • Improve Service Delivery: Identify opportunities to enhance service quality using your technical expertise and data analysis.
  • Optimize Costs: Help develop strategies to reduce costs through data-driven insights, the latest smart building techniques, and vendor negotiations while maintaining high standards.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct business and financial evaluations to recommend efficient, innovative solutions for asset management.
  • Strategic Problem Solving and Innovation: Leverage building science and analytics to deliver creative solutions for complex challenges. Lead by example and foster a collaborative, success-driven team environment.
  • Program Support and Guidance: Act as a mentor and resource for team members across service lines, offering expertise in analytics and building science.
  • Program Oversight: Manage cross-functional programs from start to finish, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery that aligns with client expectations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve processes to ensure efficient program execution and high-quality results.
  • Drive Efficiency and Innovation: Implement energy-efficient, capital planning strategies, and smart technologies to meet client goals and maximize cost-efficiency.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through clear communication and service alignment.
  • Report Preparation and Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports to track program progress, financial performance, and results, ensuring transparent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Formal program or project management certification (PgMP, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, etc.)
  • Master's degree or advanced studies in a relevant discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline (e.g., Engineering, etc.)
  • Experience working with global or cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing large-scale programs or multiple projects across geographies
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics or business intelligence tools
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
  • Certification in Agile or Lean methodologies
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills for tracking budgets and forecasting costs
  • Innovative approach to problem-solving and industry best practices
  • Ability to evaluate project progress and risk using quantitative analysis
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (Asana, Smartsheet)
