Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for any individual to join our Polymers & Composites family based at our Loughborough manufacturing site. The successful candidate will lead and manage the day to day production, planning and execution of the operations function to ensure on time delivery to Parker Meggitt's customers, whilst aligning tasks within the Module and ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Responsible for production reorganisation, managing vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

• Accountable for all aspects of HSE guidelines and policies within the Module & business.

• Accountable to ensure Quality standards are adhered to during the product life-cycle during the manufacturing process.

• Effective route cause corrective action (RCCA).

• Make sure delivery of each product within the Module to OTFIS & OTD.

• Provide leadership and support to the Module in order to achieve defined business goals and objectives.

• Ensure co-ordination and safe delivery of day to day operations.

• Manage customer priorities whilst maintaining satisfactory levels of efficiency within the Module.

• Manage inventory levels in the Module in line with set targets and business goals and objectives.

• Lead, and demonstrate effective utilisation of the Production Team to achieve all designated tasks by ensuring schedules and goals are met.

• Initiate plans and processes which minimise manufacturing costs through effective utilisation of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.

• Promote standards that meet or exceed our Customer's expectations.

• Lead and direct work for Module teams as defined by business needs.

• Identify and drive development of the operations team using the HRISon review process and team skill matrix.

• Manage staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach business goals and expectations.

• An experienced Production Supervisor/Manager who has the experience of working within Aerospace, Automotive or a fast paced production environment where there is a high degree of customisation.

• Experience of leading large, diverse teams - 40 - 50+.

• Experience of delivering improvement results using a number of techniques: eg A3's Documents, 6-Sigma.

• Excellent organisational skills.

• Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate and manage diverse teams.

• Able to identify and resolve technical, operational and organisational problems.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Confident to problem solve, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Good interpersonal skills and can communicate to people at all levels.

• Good degree of computer skills, Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement techniques.
