About The Role

Due to substantial site growth and development, we're thrilled to be looking for a Shift/Department Manager at our cutting-edge fruit processing and packing facility. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of your shift, ensuring that our high standards for quality and efficiency are met. Your leadership will be key in driving performance, fostering a productive and engaged team, and contributing to our overall success.

Shift: Working 5 days over 7, we have two shifts available - day shift (06:00 - 14:00) or late shift (14:00 - 22:00).

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shift, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
• Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, set performance targets, review progress, and develop action plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall standards.
• Communication: Effectively communicate goals, and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to drive continuous enhancement in processes.
• Talent Development: Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance to foster professional growth.
• Team Engagement: Ensure colleague welfare, boost attendance standards, and maintain high levels of team morale and engagement.

About You

• Experience: Proven management experience within a large-scale food manufacturing operation.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive results through team management.
  Problem Solving: Effective problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make swift, impactful decisions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to provide clear direction and feedback.
• Work Ethic: A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost models and budgetary control
