We're hiring a Technical Product Manager on a permanent basis from any of our UK offices working on a very flexible Hybrid basis.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a highly organized and strategic Technical Product Manager to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical delivery. This role will act as a critical liaison between the product, development, and business teams-translating vision into actionable plans, managing workflows, and ensuring seamless communication across all stakeholders. You will play a key role in sprint and release management, backlog refinement, and ensuring that features are delivered with clarity, purpose, and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business strategy into clear, actionable tasks for the development and data science teams.
- Facilitate alignment between product strategy, data science initiatives, and delivery execution.
- Plan and coordinate design sprints and research activities, including deadlines and delivery requirements.
- Define timebox requirements for design and modelling processes based on delivery timelines.
- Write, maintain, and manage Jira tickets, epics, stories, and sub-tasks.
- Document feature capabilities in list format for tickets to ensure development clarity.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to build, groom, and prioritize product backlog(s) in alignment with business goals.
- Document work requirements for modelers and development teams in agreed formats (tickets, specs, etc.).
- Organize and manage sprints (e.g., refinement sessions, sprint planning, retrospectives) and releases from planning to execution.
- Coordinate pre-release communications, post-release follow-ups, sign-offs, and release notes.
- Conduct internal review/approval of developed features and document feedback or changes to requirements.
- Run workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews (in collaboration with the research team) to gather business and data requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to define, develop, shape, and refine requirements for the product roadmap and modelling efforts.
Skills/Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience in product management, product operations, or a delivery role using Agile methodologies (Scrum strongly preferred).
- Experience within a media agency/organization or building a media-based product. Understanding of the media ecosystem (Operations, AdOps, Planners, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Agile development practices (especially Scrum), methodologies, and tools.
- Proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable development tasks and writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-changing environment.
- Solid understanding of digital product management and terminology (UX, UI, API, etc.).
Preferred:
- Experience rolling out UI/UX-focused products.
- Background in release management for SaaS or enterprise products.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile collaboration tools.
What we offer
- This is a permanent role and can be based from any of our UK offices on a hybrid working basis - London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh
- As well as a competitive salary, you'll have a great compensation package, private health & dental insurance, corporate discounts and career development through Dentsu University, and free access to LinkedIn learning
- 29+ days of annual leave (25 days of regular holidays, birthdays off and 3 additional wellness days)
- We also offer the opportunity to volunteer for up to 2 days per year and tend to close down the agency between Christmas and New Year
