What you'll do
You will be responsible for managing the Mobility Professional and Managed Services products in our SaaS and Mobility portfolio, setting the strategy and product development roadmap for Services for our SaaS portfolio - in particular Microsoft - and our core Mobility portfolio.
You will be responsible for analysing and considering market opportunities and trends, new technologies and customer insights to develop innovative products that bring our propositions to life.
You will be working with the wider Mobility & SaaS Product and Propositions team to build out the compelling why Vodafone for Mobility story, and ensure alignment across other product portfolios.
Product Management
- Reviewing the current SaaS and Mobility Professional and Managed Services product set in terms of suitability for VF UK customer requirements, uniqueness in the market, commercial performance and customer experience
- Reviewing and providing recommendations on next steps for the Mobility Professional and Managed Services product portfolio. Short term tactical solutions as well as longer term strategic solutions should be reviewed and considered. Cost and speed to market and performance will be key in terms of defining the short- and medium-term strategy for the Services portfolio. To be backed up by market analysis, sales, and customer insights and working in close alignment with the wider Mobility team.
- Taking new Services products to market, driving the uptake of the product and managing against performance targets, ensuring achievement of Product specific revenue and margin budgets.
- Ensuring Sales, marketing and GTM are fully enabled to effectively promote your products.
- Ensuring the Services portfolio delivers excellent internal and external customer experience.
- Contributing towards the overall Mobility Product strategy, interworking with other connectivity, applications, and hardware products.
- Formulating and agreeing a roadmap of product development, with clear Business Cases, to implement the agreed strategy.
- Defining product-related Capex/Opex requirements for the product development strategy.
- Ensure communication flows with internal stakeholders are consistent and refreshed on an ongoing basis.
- Continuous management of the Services product set, including managing the addition of new features to provide best in class products.
- Defining product-related Capex/Opex requirements for the business during the annual planning cycle.
- Ensure Products are clearly aligned to the Vodafone Business and Vodafone Product & Propositions strategic direction.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintaining regular engagement with operational stakeholders to optimise product performance.
- Leading product specific engagements with key partners and vendors, in conjunction with SCM and Partner teams
- Regular updates to management stakeholders on product performance
- Ongoing engagement with finance and commercial teams to track financial performance and business case ROI
- Sales and Customer engagements to promote products, answer enquiries and gain feedback
- Marketing and Propositions interlock to ensure alignment to strategic direction
Who you are
- Product Management experience with the proven ability to manage an entire product life-cycle from concept to launch for B2B/ Enterprise
- Propositions experience to support the launch of your product portfolio
- Commercially minded with the proven ability to build a business case and create a P&L
- Experience in Telco or IT
- Experience in a product function within Telecoms
- Experience of engaging with Senior Stakeholders
- Innovative approach to Product Development
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Good business acumen and ability to translate complex technical solutions into enablement for Account Managers and Sales Specialists
- Project management and planning
- Inquisitive and can-do mind-set
- Experience of engaging directly with customers, and customer facing teams
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a complex matrix structure
