This is an exciting opportunity to be a key delivery lead within the Data Solutions team. This role supports the business by leveraging the capabilities of the Group Data Office (GDO) to drive effective decision-making through quality data products. The Business Intelligence Product Manager combines strategy, proposition development, analysis, and technology expertise with disciplined project management competencies.
About the role
- Leads engagement with business stakeholders 'through the cycle' to understand business priorities and goals and elicit requirements and opportunities for new data products.
- Responsible for the accurate measurement and monitoring of commercial return from data products
- Contributes to the design and development of core customer and advisor propositions, working collaboratively with peers across Royal London.
- Responsible for the end to end development of Consumer or Advisor facing BI products
- Responsible for the delivery of BI products to support the democratisation of data and insight across the Group - ensuring business areas are equipped to make decisions locally using trusted data and insights
- Responsible for data product quality assurance and risk controls.
- Responsible for 'cradle to grave' ownership and management of relevant data products
About you
- Extensive experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions.
- Proficiency in Agile Methodologies, including creating and prioritising product backlogs, planning sprints and facilitating agile ceremonies.
- Experience of successfully running cross team projects through matrix management
- Knowledge of the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch to retirement.
- Proficiency in BI Tools, especially Power BI.
- Understanding SQL, data warehouse design, semantic modelling and visualisation techniques.
- Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Familiarity with software development practices, including version control, continuous integration, and development
