Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities/Main Tasks

Responsible for the introduction of all new products to the customer and to the company liaising with production, sales, customer accounts, key accounts etc.

  1. Project Management to include:
  • Set up Product Launch Plan for new product and arrange product launch teams and weekly meetings
  • Confirmation/check of NPI's
  • Competitor comparison completed
  • Pricing proposal for new product
  • Liaising with IT with regards to the set-up of new product on the system
  • Liaising with Logistics regarding forecasting and stock levels
  • Liaising with production and co-coordinating any relevant product testing
  • Preparation of technical training materials for internal training
  • Technical input into Compelling Argument for product
  • Input into Marketing Material for marketing and sales tools purposes
  • Liaison with Global Product team as required
  • Keeping Product Launch Plan up to date and on schedule and feeding progress back through commercial meetings
  • Post launch Feedback on initial sales versus sales targets
  1. Writing and delivering structured training programs (in conjunction with other related departments) to improve the technical knowledge internally of the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service teams (in collaboration and as required by management team requirements).
  2. Attending all relevant internal meetings where product representation is required.
  3. Providing technical customer support on products for sales and customer services as required.
  4. Completion of product forecasting requests from the global product team
  5. Manage the digital learning platforms for both HOYA & SEIKO
  6. Support the creation and development of sales aids and demonstration tools across all brands
  7. Liaise with all parties to ensure the correct products are available across all ordering platforms according to the individual customers' needs
  8. Manage the annual price increase process across all brands, ensuring accuracy of price lists produced
  9. Involved in Seiko customer presentations (new products, CPD) as required.
  10. Oversee and management of technical aspects of HOYA/SEIKO/PENTAX catalogue/price list
  11. Providing input for marketing materials to meet the needs, timings and structure set by the product launch plan.
  12. Management of DRS/PRS process for private label product and specific product requests
  13. Managing the life cycle of all products
  14. Provide first line product support to sales teams across all brands
  15. Monitor, analyse, and evaluate sell out (by specific reports) and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the products/services.
  16. Understanding the market needs and provide evidence to global product team
  17. Sourcing product to fill gap if necessary in current Hoya/Seiko portfolios
  18. Liaise with the Lens Expert and Customer Relations on non-tolerance claims.
