Summary

You'll collaborate with Product and Technology teams to develop the technical strategy and roadmap for our Price data platforms. You'll holistically lead the product management process from research, product planning and build, through to launch and implementation of a diverse and highly sophisticated system, through prioritisation and formulation of strategic goals.

Work with other Product Managers to collaborate on cross-product team dependencies. Develop strong working relationships with relevant business owners for M&S Business context and with Technology for retail-specific technology expertise.

What you'll do

  • Lead the product development for the pricing domain, where you will be building transformational capabilities to be used across all of M&S
  • Demonstrate a good level of understanding of both the software development process, and the full technology stack understanding how your product interacts with other product teams and all areas of the business.
  • Work collaboratively across M&S, particularly with the wider product team, technology delivery, and engineering.
  • Accountable for the prioritisation of a backlog of work balancing requirements, optimising existing features, removing technical debt, and identifying quick wins vs pivotal initiatives.
  • Contribute to each quarterly prioritisation process and building, refining the product roadmap, communicating it to wider teams and partners on a periodic basis.
  • Work with the Technical Programme Manager to inspect and adapt the teams working practices to suit the product lifecycle optimising value delivery.
  • Lead the business readiness for your features, collaborating closely with all parties involved to clearly communicate what will be released and when.
  • Assume shared accountability for the operational health of your product, reporting on agreed performance metrics.
  • Working with the Senior Product Manager to build upon the future Pricing vision and product strategy.
  • Management of day-to-day questions on pricing, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.

Who you are

  • Over 3 years' experience in product management, demonstrating successful development and delivery of product strategies, roadmaps through to product launch and optimisation
  • Pricing & Promotions lifecycle from creation to execution.
  • A methodical and analytical approach, with great problem solving skills
  • Excellent technical capability, and ideally experience in building and launching various APIs, including API-based products and services
  • Superb communication and experience dealing with business partners, both technical and non-technical.
  • You are a connector, bringing people together you help make improvements even in areas you do not own.
