Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of customer experiences for Payments on online and in-app, in support of the Payment Product Strategy.

Every M&S customer who purchases a product on M&S.com will use your product, so this role comes with broad responsibility, high visibility and the scope to have impact at a large scale. In Payments, we're transforming our products to make them easier and quicker to change and improving the experiences of millions of customers through data-led experimentation.

For the Ways to Pay product, you will holistically manage the product management process from discovery, strategy creation, product planning and build, to launch and optimization - coordinating with stakeholders, UX design & research, 3rd party suppliers, engineering and delivery throughout that lifecycle. Act as the voice of the 'customer', translate needs into a product roadmap and backlog, constantly prioritize and manage the team's capacity to maximize customer and business value.

Work with other Product Managers to collaborate on cross-product team dependencies. Develop strong working relationships with relevant business owners for M&S Business context and with Technology for retail-specific technology expertise.

What you'll do

  • Lead product management with autonomy, aligning with Payments Product strategy to generate value.
  • Use insights from customer research, data, market analysis, and trends to inform decisions.
  • Develop business cases with detailed analysis on market, costs, and benefits.
  • Manage and prioritize a backlog of stakeholder needs, features, and technical debt.
  • Communicate progress on OKRs, product strategy, and engage with stakeholders regularly.

Who you are

  • 3+ years in product management with expertise in strategy development, roadmaps, and product optimization.
  • Strong experience in ecommerce, payments, and checkout products, with a deep customer focus.
  • Proven technical skills and Agile delivery, emphasizing experimentation for customer-driven results.
  • Excellent communicator, skilled at collaborating with stakeholders and influencing decisions.
  • Desirable: Experience working with 3rd parties and Retail B2C ecommerce products.
