Product Manager, Dispensers EMEA - Dundee / Hybrid

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Position summary:

The Product Manager is part of the Dispenser Product Management team, who is the product owner of the dispenser products assembled at our factory in Europe and manages all aspects of the products to drive product performance.

The Product Manager is responsible for the product's contribution to our business. This can extend from improving profitability of existing products to developing new products.

The Product Manager is the focal point on all aspect of the dispenser products for internal functions as well as supporting our distribution partners and own commercial teams as their first point of contact for all product-related questions and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

As product owner, you will manage all aspects of the product and drive product performance to meet business KPI targets.

  • With responsibility for product cost, you will monitor standard cost and develop cost-out activities to deliver continuous cost improvements.
  • With responsibility for product margin, you will work closely with the pricing analyst function to provide price guidance to the commercial team in line with our price positioning and margin targets.
  • You will continuously monitor the market to ensure that the product is relevant to the market and their problems and use this market knowledge to manage the product life cycle. You will also own monitoring of technology trends and competitor intelligence.
  • You will develop products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your contact with customers and products.
  • You will work with our engineering teams to define product requirement specifications based on market problems and manage priorities for sustaining efforts.
  • You will drive new product development as well as product introductions and work closely with operations to ensure successful introduction into production, including readiness of product configurator tools. You will also work closely with product marketing to ensure successful launch to the market and commercial teams.
  • You will support the commercial team with technical assessment of tender requirements and assist with technical knowledge during opportunity development.

Knowledge & Skill set

  • You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy and be able to articulate the business case for the product and its monthly contribution to the business.
  • You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
  • You must have experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research and be able to translate this research into actionable insight about the market.
  • You must have experience in assessing the competition and set a strategy against them to win.
  • You must possess excellent presentation skills and be an effective communicator who works effectively with stakeholders at every level to ensure a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • You must have a sense of detail yet able to see the big picture and have the drive to make that vision a reality. You must be able to create alignment and buy-in across all internal and external stakeholders for the product roadmap and vision.
  • You must know how to create requirements grounded in the problems of the user, end-customer or buyer persona rather than the feature or technology to be built.

Essential Capabilities:

  • Ability to write and speak fluent in English is required.
  • Ability to work outside an office environment is required.
  • Flexibility on work hours is required, as is ability to work more than 8 hours per day when required.
  • Ability to travel internationally is required (up to 20% of the time).

Candidate Experience and Qualification:

  • Must have experience in product management, product engineering or technical sales. Experience in project management or business management would be advantageous.
  • Must be highly detail oriented with a proactive results orientation
  • Must have demonstrable numeric and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be flexible and able to manage changing workload and priorities
  • Must be highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be service-minded and take pride in delivering on time as per agreed deadlines
  • Experience with configuration of technical equipment would be beneficial.
