Job Description

Energy Systems is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic colleague to be Product Manager for Renewables.Architect. The role will report into the Head of Renewables Department, in UK & Ireland Region.

Renewables.Architect (R.A.) is an Energy Systems software platform that automatically produces a cost-optimized concept design for a renewable energy site. The product has been developed over the last 13 years, expanding its functionalities from wind to solar, hydrogen, storage and drawing on expertise from across DNV to model the entire system, holistically.

DNV predicts that the global installed Renewables capacity will triple by 2035, with a 9x growth in wind and 13x growth in solar by 2050 and this will lead to an increased focus on both design time and costs of new projects. With its ability to offer a rapid prototyping environment, R.A. can play a key role in the Renewables industry and be a fundamental tool for our customers to achieve their targets.

To boost its development and ensure its alignment with market needs, in 2024 we are making a step change in the development of R.A. We are therefore creating a product center , with a dedicated development team, within the Renewables Department.

We are looking to appoint a Product Manager whose role will be to develop and maintain the product vision and strategy, by developing a product roadmap based on market, external and internal customers' needs and aligned with Energy Systems strategy.

The Product Manager will work closely with the Product Architect whose focus will be technical and operational. The Product Architect is responsible for maintaining and developing the product and its software architecture, based on the product roadmap and vision, latest best practices and deep technical knowledge.

The Renewables Department within the Energy Systems UK & Ireland region is primarily responsible for delivery of advisory and engineering services to our customers and stakeholders: developers, owners, operators, lenders and manufacturers. Our customer portfolio is truly international, and we collaborate and support the wider DNV global organization where-ever needed.
