As our new Product Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for implementing product and commercial developments and enhancements across our Home, Motor Travel, and Health products. This will be delivered with enhanced customer satisfaction to ensure our processes align with regulatory and brand standards.

You'll have a thorough knowledge of general insurance markets, products, and practices, with experience in project delivery to ensure the successful end to end implementation of product development and enhancements aligned with Saga's strategy.

This is a newly created role, and we are looking for you to be a highly motivated, independent member of the team. In your previous roles, you will have contributed to the delivery of several projects, managed multiple tasks, and been able to effectively prioritise.

We offer total flexibility over where you work - you choose a place where you feel most comfortable and productive, either from home or in one of our hubs in London, Ashford or Sandwich. We come together with a purpose to collaborate, typically once a month in London or Kent.

Role Responsibility

As the Product Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for the successful and timely delivery of Product initiatives, with particular focus on cross-functional team working - working alongside business colleagues and stakeholders where required.

Other accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining clear and consistent lines of communication across all stakeholders, working with Home, Motor, Health and Travel Product & Commercial Teams, ensuring that the needs of the department are appropriately represented, and information is cascaded in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrating a strong, comprehensive understanding of procedures and systems across the business.
  • Acting as a BAU point of contact for the business in relation to Product-driven change initiatives.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of Product and Commercial led initiatives, ensuring these are achieved within agreed timeframes and to the required quality standards.
  • Managing initiatives from inception through to supporting benefit realisation, including oversight and management of any subsequent defects and clean-ups.
  • Preparing and presenting supporting documentation to senior management across the business.
  • Being an effective negotiator, balancing alternatives and seeking win-win solutions.
  • Completing of Post Implementation & Post Closure Reviews and making recommendations for improvement
  • Undertaking of any other duties assigned by the Product Management Team within reasonable boundaries of the job holders' capability

The Ideal Candidate

To be a successful Product Implementation Manager, you will need to be able to lead multiple projects, prioritise, and manage a high volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions while driving exceptional customer outcomes.

Other skills and experience required include:

  • Excellent organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team.
  • Commercially aware and able to design, develop and implement product initiatives to achieve the best customer outcomes.
  • An inquisitive mindset, confident to challenge and explore new approaches to optimise delivery and output.
  • Proven ability to problem solve when faced with complex situations.
  • Strong knowledge of general insurance markets, incorporating regulatory regime and Consumer Duty.
  • Management and delivery of high-quality communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk, considering both customer and commercial impacts to achieve the optimum outcomes.
  • Drive and determination to develop within the role through increasing technical knowledge and building effective relationships within the business.
