Role Purpose:
As a Product Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of client-facing and internal initiatives within a specific solution group. You will act as a key bridge between product strategy and execution, ensuring that delivery aligns with product vision, customer needs, and company goals. This is a hybrid role combining product-focused leadership with hands-on project delivery, contributing directly to revenue and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Product-Centric Delivery Leadership
- Partner with Director of Solutions and Product Manager(s) to align delivery execution with product strategy and company goals.
- Champion a product mindset across delivery teams-prioritizing customer outcomes, iterative value delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring the product meets customer needs and quality standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for client escalations related to product delivery, collaborating with Product Managers, Account Managers and Project Managers to resolve issues swiftly.
Project & Programme Oversight
- Lead and manage a portfolio of delivery projects within the product line, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and customer commitments.
- Directly manage high-impact projects, applying agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
- Monitor delivery performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain momentum and quality.
Strategic Planning & Resource Optimization
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to prioritize delivery initiatives based on strategic value, complexity, and resource availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketers, to ensure smooth delivery.
- Optimize resource allocation across the product team, balancing delivery timelines with evolving business needs and sales pipeline.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage product and delivery metrics and KPIs to identify trends, drive improvements, and support data-informed decision-making.
- Work with the PMO to enhance product delivery processes and ensure consistent reporting and governance.
Client Engagement & Incident Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Lead incident resolution efforts for escalated delivery issues, coordinating cross-functional teams to restore service and confidence.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in technology delivery leadership, ideally within a software product or SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder delivery programms in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and agile delivery principles.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer value, product vision, and business profitability.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with insurance domain concepts is advantageous but not essential.
