Job Description
Product Delivery Manager- Chase UK
We know that people want great value combined with an excellent experience from a bank they can trust, so we launched our digital bank, Chase UK, to revolutionise mobile banking with seamless journeys that our customers love. We're already trusted by millions in the US and we're quickly catching up in the UK - but how we do things here is a little different. We're building the bank of the future from scratch, channelling our start-up mentality every step of the way - meaning you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.
As a Product Delivery Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. Your responsibilities are to deliver end-to-end cutting-edge solutions in the form of cloud-native microservices architecture applications leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. You are expected to be involved in the design and architecture of the solutions while also focusing on the entire SDLC lifecycle stages.
Our Product team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. We're looking for people who have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. By their nature, our people are also solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have a head for fintech. We work in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects - and depending on your strengths and interests, you'll have the opportunity to move between them.
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team, ideally somebody that has done Delivery Manager / Technical Program Management before. You will take ownership of one of our internal operations domains, responsible for core functionality such as trading technology or portfolio valuation and performance. You will also manage key 3rd party stakeholders such as our vendors, integration partners and strategic B2B clients.
You will have a development team around you to ensure you are able to operate autonomously to define and deliver your roadmap in continuous cycles of dual-track Discovery-Delivery sprints.
You will work in a highly collaborative way within the Product team and across the organisation to successfully deliver strategically aligned product development whilst aiming to exceed your set KPIs.
Job responsibilities:
- Accountable for initiative level planning and alignment, data-based forecasting, reporting, and identifying and resolving program level risks, dependencies, impediments and blockers.
- Communicate to a wide range of stakeholders and client teams, aligning them to the delivery strategy and ensuring shared understanding of reporting and desired outcomes
- Support the Product and Engineering leads in the successful program delivery, while collaborating within a team of Program Managers across Product lines.
- Enable continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes through the application of Agile frameworks and Lean practices, as well as analysing and improving the squads by acting on metrics
- Solid dependency management expertise, enabling the alignment of multiple streams to progress towards key delivery timelines
- Define and manage a highly organised roadmap and supporting backlog to ensure your team is delivering products that will most positively impact customers and the business
- Promote innovation in product design, always being mindful of, and working within, the framework of a strong financial compliance regime
- Support and motivate the Engineering teams with clear and achievable deliverables
- Participate in agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, planning meetings, retrospectives
- Balance business and technical objectives and translate these as clear priorities for the Engineering team
- Maintain the product roadmaps up to date with delivery from engineering team, in the interest of accurately representing progress.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Track record of successful delivery of complex projects (including working knowledge of Scrum)
- Bachelor's degree in a technical/ numerical discipline
- Knowledge of fintech and any major new developments / initiatives and regulatory environment in UK
- Previous experience in retail banking or banking sector as a whole.
