Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 1 day per week for this position.

We're looking for a Product Controls Manager to join the Help Me Borrow team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.
This is a great opportunity to apply and develop your understanding of product design, and the management of credit cards and loans products.
You'll be working alongside stakeholders in the Help Me Borrow team and our Centres of Expertise, reporting to the Senior Customer Value Manager.
With opportunity to learn about product management and improving customer and commercial outcomes, you'll develop your understanding and application of key risk and control methodologies.
This role is fundamental to ensuring effective management of risk, and compliance with our Risk Management Framework, evidencing that credit cards and loans product design is compliant, working as designed and delivering good conduct and customer outcomes.
What you'll be doing
• Executing and developing key product management processes and controls for our credit cards and loans products.
• Collaborating with teams across Tesco Bank to investigate and understand exception scenarios, leading the delivery of any required improvements and remedial activities.
• Reporting on the execution of product management processes and controls and the effectiveness of our control environment.
• Understanding and documenting product related features, benefits, and communications.
• Supporting the development of product related features, benefits, and communications to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
We need you to have
• Strong knowledge and experience of lending products (cards and loans), product management, and product related processes, features, benefits, and communications.
• Strong data and numeracy capabilities, and a methodical and logical approach to complex problem solving and investigation.
• An understanding of enterprise-wide risk and control frameworks, processes, and minimum standards.
• Good stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and the drive to ensure issues are resolved.
And if you have any of these, even better
• Experience of using SAS, SQL or similar.
• Experience in the design of new controls, control transformation, and the ability to identify where controls are adequate and effective.
• Experience in Operational Risk management, facilitating Risk and Control Assessments and producing risk and control documentation.
