The team

ITV Sport produces some of the biggest sporting events on the calendar such as the FIFA World Cup, England Men's and Women's International Football, UEFA European Championship, Rugby World Cup, Six Nations Championship, Snooker, Darts, Motor Sport and the best of UK Horse Racing, including The Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and The Derby. Our talented team of Programme Editors, Studio Directors, Producers, Technical teams, and Production Managements team are committed to delivering high-quality content for our viewers.

The role

We are looking for a producer to deliver content for high profile ITV Sport output including major Football and Rugby competitions including FA Cup,

Six Nations, Euro 2025, England Men's and Women's international Football plus all major UK Horse Racing festivals.

This will comprise creative VT sequences, match edits, analysis packages and features.

The role will entail but not be limited to:

• VT coordinating live shows. Leading a team of EVS operators to deliver live broadcasts across our portfolio of sports. Match and Presentation coordination skills are preferable.

• Working on Outside Broadcasts (OBs) in locations away from the studio, using talkback and working as an analysis producer in VT.

• Working in an onsite edit and operating an LSM remote to complete tasks such as browsing the EVS network, making and copying clips and sending to edit.

• Supporting Programme Editors: Assisting in various tasks related to content production. This may include logging footage, organising media files, conducting research, helping with script writing or editing, and performing other administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth workflow of the editing process.

• Liaising with on screen talent, such as analysts or commentators on outside broadcasts to produce in depth analysis. Scripting VO and field producing talent. Directing talent on shoots and ensuring that the final product meets the editorial standards and requirements of the program.

• Generating ideas and suggestions for content: actively brainstorming and contributing creative ideas for content development: including researching current trends and topics, identifying potential story angles or features, pitching concepts to editorial teams, collaborating with colleagues to refine ideas, and continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the quality and appeal of the programming content.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

• Extensive work as an Assistant Producer / Producer, ideally with a strong background in sport

• Substantial experience working in a live broadcast environment is necessary including VT coordination skills

• Strong edit background

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

• A self-starter, with strong organisational skills and the confidence to sell story ideas and content proposals

• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Ability to coach, support and influence peers and junior team members

• Strong interest and knowledge of sports including football, rugby union, horse racing and motor sport

• Ability to direct single camera shoots
