6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Office/Studio Based, West London

Hiring range: £35,000 - £45,000

Your work matters to millions

We have an unmissable opportunity to join the team at Good Morning Britain who make the UK's most talked-about breakfast show.

If you're a producer or journalist, who thrives on the buzz of working within a live news environment and has an abundance of great ideas, we want to hear from you.

GMB offers a broad mix of news, current affairs and showbusiness, keeping our audience informed and entertained every weekday morning.

Working closely with our senior editorial team, you'll help to put together the first-rate content that fills our programme each day. You'll have a chance to suggest stories, come up with creative treatments and put together award-winning items and VTs.

We're looking for an established TV journalist, with a track record in handling breaking news. You will have a background in television production, experience of script writing, picture editing and the commissioning of eye-catching graphics.

We want someone who's passionate about TV news, up to speed with current affairs, as well as the latest in entertainment. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, know your broadcast law and Ofcom obligations. And be a team player - able to get the best out of contributors, presenters and correspondents.

The role involves working both day and night shifts, some early mornings, weekends and bank holidays, but comes with a generous leave allowance and plenty of time off shift. You will also be required to fulfil the Text Producer role on rotation, so perfect spelling, grammar and attention to detail is essential.

So, if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same, and you have the journalistic skills that will help us achieve our goals, we'd love to hear from you. Please send a short and captivating cover letter and a snappy CV.
