Job Title - Procurement ManagerDepartment - ProcurementLocation - Croydon - Hybrid. 3 days in the office and 2 days at home Salary - £55,000 - £60,000Temp role for 6 months.

The role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supplier Manager to join our procurement team. The Supplier Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality services. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in our supply chain operations.

Hours: This position is Based on 35 hours per week. Between 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday. Due to the nature of this role, hours may vary in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Relationship Management:
   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
   • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to ensure supplier compliance with contractual terms and quality standards.
   • Address and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.
2. Procurement Strategy:
   • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
   • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
   • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
3. Contract Management:
   • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts and agreements.
   • Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
   • Monitor contract performance and enforce compliance.
4. Cost Management:
   • Analyse procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
   • Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
   • Track and report on procurement metrics and performance indicators.
5. Risk Management:
   • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
   • Develop contingency plans to ensure service continuity.
   • Monitor market trends and potential disruptions to proactively address supply chain risks.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality, finance, and logistics teams, to understand their needs and requirements.
   • Communicate procurement strategies and plans effectively across the organisation.
   • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities and supplier performance.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
   • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement and supply chain management.
   • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement team and stakeholders.

About you:Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or a related role.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools (ARIBA beneficial).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CIPS certification or striving towards is a plus
