About the Job

As Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Procurement to deliver a range of strategic procurement frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems (DPS), ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to:

  • Lead complex procurement projects with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that meet the needs of public sector bodies across the UK.
  • Shape frameworks that improve housing and construction standards, leaving a tangible impact on communities.
  • Support framework governance, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Overseeing a programme of procurement activities aligned with public procurement regulations.
  • Supporting the Head of Procurement in managing the centralised procurement team.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement across internal teams, contractors, and public sector clients.
  • Preparing and managing all procurement documentation, including specifications, tender reports, and compliance checks.
  • Implementing improvements in procurement systems and bidder experience.
  • Representing LHCPG at industry events and contributing to marketing initiatives.

What you need

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering procurement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Proven ability to lead complex procurement activities independently.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Accreditation or progress toward MCIPS (minimum Level 5).

Desirable:

  • Experience in housing or construction-related procurement.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts such as NEC or JCT.
