This pivotal role will have overall accountability for contract management activities within the commercial lifecycle, leading a team to support strategic sourcing and contract management plans. You will provide expert advice to senior managers, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and embedding a corporate approach to contract and supplier relationship management.
As part of the new structure with contract management resource and additional category management resource, you will proactively manage procurement spending. Key objectives for this team are to:
- Work in a dynamic manner to identify and support delivery of improvements and savings.
- Support development and implementation of an LCC-wide Contract Management Strategy and provide training to support other services.
- Support the implementation of technology to improve contract reporting.
- Support strategic contract management activity across LCC at key stages in the contracting lifecycle.
What we're looking for:
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply.
- Proven experience in developing procurement and contract management strategies and managing spend categories in large, complex public sector organisations.
- In-depth understanding of strategic sourcing methods and public sector procurement regulations.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and motivate teams and individuals.
