Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures? The role will be based in UK (or Germany) with 20% of time traveling either domestically or to other EMEA countries.
Key job responsibilities
• Orchestrate and collaborate with Operational Excellence (ACES) and Engineering teams to validate operational benefits of implemented infrastructure projects at Sort Centers e.g. productivity, safety, capacity
• Identify subject matter experts in their field of expertise to confirm project benefits realization, post installation, utilizing on-site investigations and analyzing metrics
• Firm understanding of site operations and ability to define and measure improvements from capex investments
• Summarize initiative impact into a comprehensive post-mortem analysis
• Document and communicate findings of project impact to planning teams
• Understanding of financial analysis, return on investment and net-present value financial calculations
• Work closely with PMs, Finance, ACES, PMO, Operations, Engineering, RME and WHS teams to identify project benefits.
A day in the life
As a Program Manager, you'll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You'll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you'll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.
About the team
The Middle Mile Node Programs team is the critical link between our best in class fulfillment network and the customer. Our ability to sort and deliver packages from multiple fulfillment centers across Europe accurately and efficiently enables fast and reliable delivery service. As the Amazon Middle Mile network continues to diversify and grow, the need to innovate on our existing infrastructure and improve customer experience while continuing to grow our footprint becomes increasingly necessary and urgent.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelor degree
*Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders including senior management
*Relevant experience in managing large-scale programs or projects
*Advanced proficiency in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
*Advanced or master's degree
*Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2 certifications, or any other project management certification
*Relevant experience working in a supply chain, logistics, or operations environment
*Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements
* French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
