Process Engineer
Cameronbridge Distillery

This role is based at Cameronbridge Distillery, the biggest grain distillery in Europe. The role responsibilities spans over 3 operational areas, the new make grain distillery, including the white spirits distillery, the bio-energy plant, and Leven sprit supply that includes spirit processing and maturation.
The purpose of this role is to continually provide technical insights to improve and enhance the performance of distilling, whilst driving energy efficiency with considerations of cost, environmental and energy targets. You will work closely with operational teams to lead and support a range of projects to improve operational performance across the 2 Distilleries, BioEnergy plant, and Leven Spirit Supply, develop & support transformational initiatives in partnership with operations to sustain and improve performance into the future.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring strategic projects are prioritised correctly to optimize existing and near-future operational abilities, including utility usage.
- Own and drive process engineering improvement roadmap, aligned with overall CamLe (2 distilleries and plant) vision & mission
- Develop and support transformational initiatives in partnership with operations to sustain and enhance performance into the future.
- Benchmark internally and externally to Identify new technical insights to unlock performance pushing the boundaries to breakthrough performance.
- Build and sustain working relationships with other functional stakeholders within the Scotch category (Technical specialists, project engineering, risk & governance, sustainability, procurement) to deliver holistic solutions to challenges.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A masters level qualification or equivalent experience in Engineering field.
- Experienced in process engineering in a FMCG, Manufacturing or similar preferably within food & beverage sector.
- Experience in leading and delivering projects within a functional and multi-functional team.
- Experienced in working in partnership with various stakeholders.
- Track record of phenomenal engagement and communication skills.
- Experienced in Statistical analysis tools & software packages.
- Good to have a lean / Six Sigma qualification and or experience.
- Full Clean Driving Licence with >1 year experience.
- Site presence minimum 80% of working time
- Ability to travel to other sides as required.
