As our Head of Delivery, you'll play a pivotal role in our journey to redefine what a building society can be in the digital age.
You'll lead and inspire via matrix management to maximise effectiveness, shaping and championing best practices across the organisation. As the architect of our Change Excellence programme, you'll ensure we overcome organisational barriers and maintain momentum on our projects, helping our Society to innovate and deliver seamlessly.

Here's a taste of what you will be doing as a Head of Delivery at Nottingham Building Society: -
- Support the professional development and continuous improvement of a team of delivery managers that can scale and grow to support the business's needs.
- Lead the Centre of Excellence for our Change Excellence programme, which includes, building capability in agile ways of working and changing our change culture.
- Advocate the value of agile delivery across all levels and business areas to increase organisational agile understanding and maturity.
- Identify organisational processes that do not support agile delivery and work with the wider organisation to transform these.
- Own and evolve a delivery strategy and framework based on industry best practice that encourages collaboration and early, continuous delivery.
- Transparent peer-to-peer communication and agile mentorship with the tech leadership team.
- Leading the organisation's continuous planning and delivery process, allowing for regular feedback loops, frequent iterations and evidence-based change.
- Work with leadership to set and communicate the strategy for teams so everyone is clear about what's most important and that they are focused on achieving these.
- Use delivery metrics as an organisational inspect & adapt tool to ensure sustainable delivery.
- Spot warning signs of impediments that might slow or stop delivery and pre-emptively work to resolve those.
About you: -
- Extensive project management experience in leading large-scale programmes and initiatives.
- Extensive experience in transformation teams delivering large scale cross functional projects.
- Navigated complex organisational change, communicating a vision, progressing and engaging key stakeholders.
- Create and lead high performing teams, both in your own team and in matrix/cross functional teams.
- Able to build trusted relationships at all levels with excellent cross functional working / communication skills.
- Think strategically, translating big picture into delivery, aligned to overall strategy.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement with experience in engaging cross functional teams in new ways of working.
