Overview

Clinical Systems Development is a new team created to develop Waters Clinical and IVD Systems, Hardware and Software. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the growth of this young organisation, with a mission to better meet the unique challenges of our Clinical customers and accelerate the growth of this segment of Waters business.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a self supervisory role to set and establish the direction of Projects.
  • To take full accountability for the completion of those Projects that are on the critical path to the delivery of Waters' Clinical business strategy.
  • To ensure that the projects have routine risk management and mitigation in place in order to ensure that project goals are achieved.
  • To maintain clear visibility of all aspects of projects from Concept, to product launch and complete with project closure.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams with a wide array of stakeholders, third parties, strategic alliance partners and other external collaborators.
  • To act as an information conduit between the project core teams, programs and Senior Management. To provide periodic updates, as needed, to Senior Management summarizing project status based on evaluating key project metrics.
  • Assisting and mentoring others by sharing knowledge and learning

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, management, or directly equivalent experience.
  • Higher level of education preferred along with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Agile PM or equivalent type qualification preferable.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in management projects through a Product Development Process.
  • Experience in Product lifecycle management and in depth knowledge and discipline in the application of project management best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of working within Lean or Agile environments with demonstrated capability in tailoring and mapping between different methodologies at scale.

  • Planning, project management and governance of multiple projects, activities and resources.
  • Ability to deal skillfully and promptly with new situations in order to identify feasible and practical solutions.
  • Ability to work across a wide range of functional and organisational boundaries.
  • Comfortable working directly with Engineers but also communicating and negotiating with Senior Management positions too.
  • Capable of managing project teams greater than 50 Engineers.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese desireable but not required.
