YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

  • You will join a growing team of dedicated Project Managers and other related professionals, who work together to deliver projects within the Built Environment across the UK.
  • You will be an instrumental member of our Project Management team who are currently responsible for delivering multi large-scale new-build, refurbishment, restoration and mixed-use developments, within a variety of sectors.
  • You will be given opportunities to manage your own projects, with ongoing support as part of your career development, and taking on responsibility for the successful planning and execution of projects and programmes within the Built Environment through all project gateways.

YOUR TEAM

You will be part of WSP's wider PMCM Buildings team, offering you further opportunities to work on exciting projects across the UK.

  • Our PMs work across the UK within a of variety sector such as education, transport, rail, industry, energy, healthcare and defence, to name a few. There are opportunities for the right candidate to diversify or to specialise within their chosen sector/career path.

  • You will integrate into our team's flexible working culture, attending meetings remotely and in-person, attending client offices and construction sites as appropriate to meet the needs of each client and project.
  • You will help manage and support the development of our Early Career Professionals, giving them the benefit of your unique experience and knowledge.
  • You will support our various business development initiatives through successful tendering, networking and regular client and consultant engagement.
  • You will engage with WSP wider initiatives to promote our commitment towards reducing the carbon footprint across the projects and programmes that we influence.
  • With extensive connections into all professional bodies WSP offers you great opportunities to grow your professional networks and in turn you will help WSP to grow and diversify our business into new and exciting areas.

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Want to grow and develop your Project Management career within a Global Business
  • Have NEC4 contract experience, ideally with an ECC Project Manager Accreditation.
  • Chartership with a recognised professional institution, or working towards. (APM, CIOB, RICS)
  • Have a proven Project Management background within the build environment, managing multi-disciplinary teams from inception through to practical completion.
  • A strong technical ability with commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication, numerical, collaboration and presentational skills.
  • Familiarity with Project Management systems such as MS Project and contracts management software such as SYPRO, CEMAR, etc.
  • Proven track record of working as part of a project team and/or leading your own projects.
  • Can demonstrate your ability to coordinate and manage teams to consistently deliver projects within tight timelines.
  • Are passionate about construction, innovation and industry best practice initiatives.
  • Are not afraid to challenge the status quo, to try innovative solutions and learn from past experiences.
  • Hold a relevant degree, or similar higher education qualification.
