Regional Client Director: South

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is drive MLL Telecom's business growth from existing and new clients in the South of the UK. You will be responsible for all of MLL's key accounts and winning new clients from the public sector in the region. You will work to targets set by the overall sales and business development strategy for the region covering growth, contract renewals and new client wins.
Clients and Offers
The existing MLL public-sector client base is built up from Local Authorities, the NHS, Fire & Rescue, Police and other government organisations. The MLL portfolio of services covers fully managed network services ranging from WAN (MPLS and SD-WAN), through security solutions, voice overlays to LAN/WLAN solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create, own and develop detailed strategic account plans in support of the company sales strategy and agreed business targets
- Create, own and develop a stakeholder engagement plan to help create line of sight to the longer-term business strategy
- Develop and manage a robust governance and engagement model that ensures public-sector clients and internal teams are kept informed of on-going actions
- Develop and identify a process that can be measured by client- agreed KPIs for quotations, responses and implementation requests.
- Ensure all contracts are kept updated to reflect changes
- Act as an expert advocate for MLL solutions, products and services that enables innovative solutions to be developed to meet customer needs, present and future
- Work closely and co-operatively with internal teams including Solution Architects, Service Delivery Managers, Service Architects, Project Managers, Bid Managers, Desk Based Sales, commercial and financial teams to provide outstanding proposals and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Lead formal bid processes when required for new opportunities
- Maintain accurate up-to-date records for all allocated clients and opportunities in the MLL Cherwell CRM system
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
- Proven track record of high achievement in a target carrying role
- Sound knowledge of account management processes and client engagement
- Relationship manager with strong stakeholder skills, able to operate at all levels with resilience and adaptability
- Public sector experience is desirable but not essential
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- A high standard of excel skills and reporting capability
- Team management skills, working with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Coaching and mentoring employees in order to increase productivity and revenue.
