Assistant Manager

About RSM

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

Here at RSM, we work collaboratively with our clients to help them overcome performance challenges or set them up to successfully deliver their strategic objectives. We are guided by good practice principles, and the latest technologies, but never constrained by them. At our core we are critical-thinkers, problem-solvers and visionaries.

Partnering with leading global software solution providers RSM's Consulting Service helps our clients improve business operations, gain efficiencies and insight by using the right cloud-based solutions aligned to business needs.

We help our clients select the right software solution to optimise business processes and gain real-time visibility of their finance, inventory, supply chain, order management, sales and HR. Integrated systems remove silos, providing greater insights to make informed decisions through their Business Transformation.

About the Team

RSM's Business Consulting team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the eighth largest provider of Audit, Tax and Consulting services to entrepreneurial growth-focused organisations globally.

Our Business Consulting practice, as part of our broader Business Transformation client offering, currently consists of three teams:

  • Digital Finance team working with clients to understand how their finance functions work, assisting them to articulate what 'good' looks like for them and how they can get there. We work with our clients to ensure they have a Finance function that reflects and supports their vision. We believe in designing a Finance function in which people are key, and technology is the enabler.
  • Technology team supporting clients throughout their digital transformation journey from defining a digital strategy and roadmap, creating a business case, selecting the right software, documenting user stories, to managing and assuring projects.
  • Data analytics and insights team working with clients to help them understand their level of data analytics maturity and to develop a data analytics strategy that will guide them in achieving their desired level of maturity. We work with clients to identify KPIs and metrics they can use to track progress against their strategic objectives and to assess the quality of their data needed for those KPIs and metrics.

About the role

As part of the team you will be working closely with clients, and it is therefore critical that you can establish trust and credibility quickly to build effective relationships.

It goes without saying that you are a team player, have a 'can do' attitude and understand that the best solutions come from collaboration and exchange of ideas.

You will be a problem solver, creative thinker, and self-starter, who is organised, proactive and inquisitive. Ideally you will already have been involved in Transformation projects and can demonstrate the value delivered to organisations with which you've worked. You should be comfortable in managing a team and juggling multiple deadlines.

You will contribute to client proposals and presentations and our clients will see you as a trusted advisor to work closely with them in identifying, analysing, and solving their business challenges.

In exchange, we offer exciting client opportunities, a clear and concise career development path, and promotion opportunities for those with the drive and the commitment to succeed in a dynamic environment, whilst delivering exceptional service to clients and becoming part of a high performing team.
