Job Summary

As a Prime Financial Services - Alternatives Account Manager - Associate within the Alternatives Account Management team, you will act as a product and platform expert for our Hedge Fund client base. You will partner closely with our clients, understanding their business and industry challenges, and use your specialist knowledge to provide solutions. Your role will cover the PFS product suite and you will be responsible for promoting client revenue, performing margin simulations, and providing advisory coverage where regulatory change impacts the PFS product suite. You will also work closely with teams across Operations, Technology, and the broader Prime Business.

The role covers the PFS product suite which includes Cash Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income Prime Brokerage, Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage, Exchange-Traded Derivatives Clearing and OTC Derivatives Clearing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee first class delivery for the PFS product suite principally via provision of deep product expertise to clients across the PFS product suite both from an industry and J.P. Morgan perspective. Via various means including formal reviews, monitoring of key metrics or ad-hoc client feedback.
  • Drive client revenue: Seeking ways to improve financial returns in partnership with key internal and client stakeholders. This includes working with infrastructure partners to ensure business is scalable and managed most effectively via the platform. This requires extensive work with partner teams

    - Perform margin simulations and overall profitability analysis for pricing proposals For derivatives clearing services, to assist Sales and Trading present competitive pricing.
    - Partner frequently with Trading, Credit and Risk to help in discussions in relation to the client's portfolio. To be in partnership with clients and internal stakeholders: grow, optimize, and protect the business revenue through creativity, proactivity and sustained client focus.
    - Build an understanding of the client's organisational structure, needs and strategy; use that knowledge to ensure effective representation of their business and develop a long-term partnership in order that the Prime Financial services product range is best utilized and commercial opportunities are followed up appropriately.

  • Secure feedback on the PB platform and monitor client feedback, design of new client solutions within the existing offering, understanding client plans and working with Product development on enhancements.

    - Work closely with teams across Operations, Technology as well the broader Prime Business colleagues including Transition, Sales, Margin Trading on key client projects and objectives in relation to the PFS product
    - Work with internal partners to maintain/develop robust control framework, ensure client operational risk points of evaluated and act as a client escalation contact where appropriate.
    - Ensure client projects and high-profile life cycle events are managed effectively and deadlines achieved.

  • Provide advisory coverage where regulatory change impacts the PFS product suite, we partner closely with clients and J.P. Morgan project teams to understand and manage change.
  • Conduct project work which is broad in nature and often client driven, in each engagement seek to execute in line with the client expectations or manage accordingly.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Good product understanding in some if not all of the PFS product range.
  • Exceptional client service and customer-focus, with ability to represent the firm and build long standing client relationships.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Degree educated; a finance related degree is preferential but not essential.
  • Experience within Prime Brokerage or Clearing is a significant advantage
  • Some industry experience with a demonstrable track record of delivery with a strong client focus.
