About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for an Insights Team Manager to join our team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. Joining the Vehicle Remarketing Department (VRM) of the UK's largest vehicle leasing company, this role involves working closely with stakeholders and leaders across VRM, as well as the wider business, to drive forward long-term strategy and short-term pricing initiatives/trials, with the aim of utilising data to optimise the resale values for the 225k ex-lease vehicles sold back into the used car market every year.

  • Management of the VRM Pricing team, ensuring day-to-day pricing deliverables for our online sales channels are met in the most efficient way
  • Utilising data and the Pricing Application to shape the future development of pricing across multiple sales channels
  • Leading and supporting data led Pricing related initiatives
  • Supporting wider Motability Operations initiatives and processes that help meet Scheme customer needs and deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Maintaining an inclusive and positive culture, fostering consistent ways of working that encourage diverse thinking and inclusion of ideas from all roles

  • You possess strong presentation skills and are confident explaining complex subject matter to non-technical stakeholders
  • You have experience of working closely with senior leaders
  • You are an effective communicator who can provide feedback through regular team meetings, complete regular 1:1's and performance reviews, offering continuous support and development
  • You are a proactive self-starter who enjoys having the autonomy to drive change

Minimum criteria:

  • Experienced manager with strong leadership skills (communication, motivation, leading by example)
  • Ability to provide business value and insight based on data and information
  • Strong analysis skills
  • Experience working closely with MI and Data Scientists
  • Understanding of basic economic supply and demand principles
  • Experience of delivering results in a pressurised environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and are comfortable in dealing with people of all levels of seniority

What we do

We lease a wide range of tailored mobility solutions to people who receive of one of the Government's qualifying mobility allowances. Our customers choose a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), scooter or powered wheelchair that best suits their needs. We take care of their insurance, breakdown, servicing and more, as part of our worry-free package.

At the end of the lease, our customers can exchange their vehicle for a brand-new model. Each year we sell and move around 200,000 cars. This makes us the largest supplier of single-source vehicles back into the used car market.

The Scheme has been providing affordable, worry-free motoring for over 45 years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, with an independent customer satisfaction rating of 9.6 out of 10.
