Location - Reigate or Edinburgh or Glasgow
Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid, however you need to travel to our Reigate or Edinburgh office 2 days per week for this role.

We're recruiting a Pricing Manager within our Motor Retail Pricing team based in our Reigate / Edinburgh / Glasgow office. This team looks after the price optimisation algorithm, building market and behavioural models, identifying and assessing new data sources, whilst monitoring the day-to-day trade performance and regularly proposing price changes based on emerging experience and market movements. The Role
•Supporting the continual improvement in Motor Retail market and behavioural models and supporting data feeds.
•Extracting and analysing data sources, including the use of feature engineering new using a range of modelling techniques, to support the business with Pricing analysis and insight.
•Periodically testing new techniques to ensure approach to model building, price optimisation remains market leading.
•Developing model monitoring reports to review regularly and take appropriate action.
•Support and feed into the price optimisation process that sets the margin layer for retail prices.
•Bringing price proposals to the appropriate forums for discussion and approval, ensuring the customer is considered.
•Working closely with your retail and risk pricing counterparts to deliver good end-to-end outcomes.
•Line management for up to two analysts.

What you'll bring (min criteria)
•Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing
•Deep knowledge and experience of modelling techniques - principally GLM and GBM
•Prior knowledge of price optimisation
•Knowledge and experience of programming languages e.g., SAS, SQL, R, and Python
•Prior experience of using insurance pricing software, e.g. Radar, Emblem
•Strong analytical background with a great attention to detail
•Experience communicating complex concepts in non-technical language
